Abnormal Globe
Through this artwork, I tried to represent an abnormal shape of the globe with the spread of racism. By racism, some specific groups of people think that they are superior to other races and discriminate against them by trying to be a dominant position by themselves. As you can see from this artwork, the shape of the globe is sharp with lots of angles in contrast to the normal shape of the globe. This abnormal status of the globe is caused by racism. Although not all white races discriminate, there are still lots of people who discriminate against yellow and black races in modern society. They build strong boundaries themselves by thinking and dividing some specific races that are inferior to them. As this phenomenon continues, this eventually builds the calloused globe that raises lots of conflicts. The frame of this artwork indicates that our globe with racism will be portrayed as the abnormal shape of the globe to the people in the future.
