Gun in School
According to the “Sandy Hook Promise”, 12 children die from gun violence in America each day. Another 32 are shot and injured. Since Columbine in 1999, more than 338,000 students in the U.S. have experienced gun violence at school. However, there are no specific effective policies that resolve this social incident. Therefore, through this artwork, the artist wanted to express that the more time we put off, the more victims will occur. The gun in the middle represents the hand of the clock. The bullet is aimed at the student who is asking for some help. Reciprocally, the student on the left is raising his hand to answer the question on the board. However, the student on the right is raising his hand because of the fear of gun violence. What do you think is the correct classroom scenery? We need to be aware of this status quo.
